Areas of Expertise
Litigation:
Inevitably, all business have a dispute arise with customers or vendors. I defend small business in contract disputes, personal injury claims, consumer complaints and help businesses pursue claims for debts, breaches of contracts and other disputes. My focus is to work to resolve the problem efficiently not drag it out to make it cost prohibitive. I also give straightforward advice and an honest opinion of the case.
Debt Collection:
I represent companies, individuals and small businesses in cases involving outstanding invoices, contracts and accounts receivable. Some people just think they can pay when they want or hold out long enough to take a lesser amount. That is unfair and I work to get what you are owed. I also spend quite a bit of time collecting judgments after the case has been heard by the judge or the jury. Doing this type of work also gives me the perspective to defend clients when they are wrongfully sued.
Criminal Defense:
We focus primarily on misdemeanor and felony cases related to drugs, theft, violence and some DWI cases. As a former prosecutor, I am able to evaluate a case quickly to give you an honest answer and realistic expectation of your situation. Even if the cards are stacked against us, I will still fight as hard as possible for you to make sure that your rights are respected and that the state proves it case.

Petition for Non-Disclosure:
When in your late teens and twenties, did you make some mistakes? Often times, they resulted in an arrest for a minor, and often, victimless offense such as possession of marijuana, other drugs, theft or a fight. This might haunt you now (or soon) as you look for a job and must suffer through the indignity of a background check. If luck smiled upon you resulting in a deferred adjudication for that arrest, then you might have the option to have the arrest and the subsequent records stricken from the records. Eligibility depends on the crime and there can be no subsequent arrest or deferred adjudication. The whole process can be completed in as little as two weeks and, often times, you do not need to appear in court. I charge a low flat fee to handle it for you. Please contact me so that I can begin helping you as soon as possible.

Expunction:
The most common reason for seeking an expunction is if you were found not-guilty in a trial for the offense leading to your arrest. Other basis for an expunction can help you as well. However, there are many conditions that must be met. Please contact me to see if you are eligible and to have me help you clean up your record.
